Free Events to Celebrate International Women’s Day in Vancouver

Since the early 1900s, International Women's Day (IWD) has been a day to celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women around the world.

Here at the YWCA, we celebrate women’s successes and advocate for gender equality every day, but what we love the most about IWD is that it triggers reflection on the challenges women continue to face in our society and inspires us to take action to overcome the barriers that still remain.
