JOB DESCRIPTION

Under the general supervision of the Senior Marketing Manager, the Brand Ambassador will be responsible for executing Community Outreach to increase public awareness of the WorkBC Centres in YWCA catchment areas (North Vancouver, Vancouver and the Tri-Cities).

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a WorkBC ambassador, working for the Marketing Team, to execute local Community Outreach initiatives to increase public awareness of the WorkBC Centres in our catchment areas.
  • Set up and take down of the WorkBC booth at various community events, sometimes after 5 pm and on weekends.
  • Take photos during events for marketing reports.
  • Keep the marketing materials organized and notify the Marketing Team when materials are running low and needs to be ordered
  • Map each catchment area to identify high traffic areas and possible places to promote our WorkBC centres.
  • Promote our WorkBC Centres, their programs and events by distributing posters and collateral at public libraries, community centres, coffeeshops, and other locations in each WorkBC catchment area.
  • Provide support to WorkBC Centre staff and the Marketing Team to host Hiring Fairs, Employer Panels, Employer Recognition Events, assisting with set up, registration and attendance.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a valid driver's license and car.
  • Able to transport heavy items to community events.
  • Can work after 5 pm and on weekends.
  • A proven ability to work collaboratively, as well as independently as required.
  • A valid criminal record check is required
