ywca four stroke series 

A progressive program that allows you to learn and master the skills and drills of all 4 swim strokes - freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly.  Guaranteed to increase your speed and efficiency while burning maximum calories.  Pre-requisite: able to swim 25m and are comfortable in deep water.

MOBILITY FOR LIFE

Anyone who has Parkinson’s or mobility issues will benefit from this program. You’ll improve balance and stability, while increasing strength. Program includes water boxing, agility training, postural cues, and neurological challenges - all in one invigorating workout! Learn the fundamentals of water safety and comfort in and around the pool.  This program is for brand new swimmers who would like to develop a fun and safe approach to swimming.  Each stroke with be introduced preceding various drills to ensure that each participant walks away feeling more confident with their overall swimming ability. ywca swim combo level 2/3

This split level adult swim program encompasses the use of 3 lanes, one for each level. A separate practice is given to each level. This is a great opportunity to see and learn the progressions of each level and set goals for moving from one level to the next. Included are group activities and other fun learning tools to help you achieve your goals and improve your swim efficiency. Pre-requisite: Level 2 - able to swim 25-50m easily and is comfortable in the deep end. Level 3 - able to swim 50-75m easily, familiar with the four swim strokes, and is comfortable in deep water.

Designed for seasoned swimmers or triathletes, this program will enhance your swimming efficiency, stroke technique, and personal fitness. Practices will include structured workouts and feedback from the coach. Workouts will range from high intensity interval training to non-stop distance swims to refine your speed and endurance. Your coach will offer workouts that meet individual and collective goals. Pre-requisite: able to swim 25-50 meters non-stop, understanding of all four strokes, and are comfortable in deep water.

sea hiker Level 1 / New Swimmers

This course is an invitation to swim, float, and build an efficient swim stroke while having fun. We will start with the skills that will build your confidence in the water. With each class, your coach will help you overcome the challenges that stop most adults from swimming with ease and confidence. You will learn the fundamentals for front crawl and backstroke. We will also cover treading water, deep water confidence, and using training tools. No previous swimming experience necessary.

The Easy Laps Swim Pod is all about learning how to swim laps without feeling breathless.  In this Swim Pod, we lay the foundation for a lifetime of confident and efficient swimming. Your biggest challenge in swimming when starting out is learning how to build fitness and improve technique without getting discouraged and falling into bad habits. The Easy Laps Swim Pod is for anyone who can swim 25m (with fins is fine) and wants to build distances up to 200m non-stop.

Sea Hiker Level 3 / Efficiency Swim 

This course is designed to help you learn and practice the essentials of swimming efficiently as you build beyond intervals of 50m. You’ll learn the key to using less effort to swim more efficiently in a step-by-step course that will have you swimming practices of up to 1500m. This is a lesson-based course that will show you the fundamentals of propulsion, efficiency and body awareness for swimming with less effort. Course includes video analysis and online practice guide with supplemental practices to guide you during and after the course. Learn the essentials for triathlon swimming and build a smart training approach in the Triathlon Swim Pod. This swim pod offers a mix of stroke instruction and structured practices to help you increase distance while staying relaxed and efficient. Our focus will be on building body awareness around key propulsion skills. You should be comfortable swimming up to 100m non-stop, as this will help you prepare for triathlons of any distance. Course includes video analysis and online practice guide with supplemental practices to guide you during and after the course. Join us for a fun, challenging and productive swim practice where you can make real breakthroughs in performance and confidence.
