The purpose of this position is to perform all duties required for the physical operation of the property such as minor plumbing, mechanical, electrical, HVAC, carpentry and renovation work, pool maintenance and other related duties in an efficient and effective manner. This position will cooperate with other departments to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction.

Reporting to the Facilities Manager, we are seeking to hire a Building Operator 2, who will share in the:

  • Operation of swimming pool systems and DDC System
  • Building repairs and maintenance
  • All minor Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC work plus assisting with equipment change-outs
  • Performance of required duties to ensure rooms/equipment in operable function/appearance
  • Maintenance of daily logbook, assisting with the development of Operational/Repair Procedures, and other duties as required

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years experience and skills in building maintenance, minor electrical, plumbing, HVAC repairs, and custodial work. Power Engineering Class 5 or equivalent with proficiency on Building Automated DDC Systems and Pool Operator Level 1 are also required. In addition, demonstrated good customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing are essential.

The successful candidate will be required to work day schedules, including weekends, between two downtown facilities.
