Youth Education Program - High School Ambassador
We are not currently recruiting for High School Ambassadors. Please check back in 2021.
YWCA Metro Vancouver Youth Education Programs are committed to giving youth the tools they need to make healthy choices.
With your help, our youth programs work to build self-esteem and confidence in Grade 7 girls and boys, affording them essential life skills and the requisite tools to successfully transition to high school.
Programs run side-by-side and are delivered over nine weeks in select elementary schools throughout Metro Vancouver, Surrey, and Richmond. Programs are led and delivered by a team of two Facilitators, one or two High School Ambassadors, and an adult Wisdom Champion Mentor.
High School Ambassadors are secondary students in Grades 10-12 who support the volunteer team in the delivery of the programs. High School Mentors volunteer their time to share insight into the life of a high school student and act as a positive role model. We welcome friends who would like to volunteer side-by-side. Visit our volunteer webpage for more information.
