YWCA Stopping the Violence Outreach group is a bi-weekly opportunity for women who have experienced violence to explore and address topics and issues they face in a psycho-educational group. The group helps connect women to resources, while exploring healthy coping strategies using the creative process.
Each session includes a 25- 30 min presentation, workshop or talk, followed by an art-based activity that compliments the topic covered. It is meant to be fun, relaxing and empowering.
We welcome your suggestions for future topics about what is meaningful and relevant to your life.
Women are welcome to attend any sessions; however, they must reserve their space a week in advance.
Light refreshments will be served. Child-minding is provided for children 2 to 12 years of age. Space is limited to 10 children.
Meetings take place every other Monday, 6:30PM to 7:30PM
