The YWCA Hotel is more than just a hotel. It is one of the YWCA Metro Vancouver's social enterprises, bringing in a steady source of income that directly supports our critical programs and services from child care to single mothers’ support groups to youth education and beyond.
Our social enterprises are businesses with a community purpose and help us pursue our mission and contribute to the health of our communities. In addition to being a source of funding for the YWCA, the hotel also offers accommodation for people in emergency situations. For example, those traveling for medical treatments, those moving or being renovicted, for out-of-town students and others in need.

When the COVID-19 pandemic struck, the tourism sector has seen some of the biggest drops, and the YWCA Hotel is experiencing one of our slowest summer in our history. Normally our hotel would be filled-to-the-brim and bustling during our summer months, but the pandemic had turned that number to a merely handful of rooms being occupied.
COVID-19 has significantly impacted our industry, and a loss in revenue for social enterprises like the YWCA Hotel, or Health + Fitness means less dollars that can go back to help those in need.

Since BC has started to encourage supporting local tourism during phase three, we would like to welcome more British Columbians with our “Welcome back offers”. We also now offer rooms for self-isolation and will continue our measures and do our part to ensure the health and safety of our guests and community.
We need all the support we can get from the local BC community.
Please stay with us, support local and consider recommending YWCA Hotel Vancouver to your family and friends who are visiting Vancouver.
