For decades, Hotel Willo, previously the YWCA Hotel, has been a welcoming, affordable, and community-minded place to stay in downtown Vancouver. Our new name better reflects the modern experience we offer today and helps reduce confusion about who we are and what we offer.
Becoming Hotel Willo helps us reach more travellers, build stronger recognition, and share what makes us unique.
We’re still proudly part of YWCA Metro Vancouver, and every stay continues to support community programs for women, families, and children.
No, we are still located at 733 Beatty Street, Vancouver.
You’ll still find us across from BC Place and just steps from Rogers Arena, Queen Elizabeth Theatre, and some of the city’s best restaurants and entertainment venues.
Yes. We continue to operate as a non-profit, social enterprise hotel.
A social enterprise hotel operates like any other accommodation provider, but instead of focusing on private profit, our revenue goes back into the community. When you stay at Hotel Willo, you help fund YWCA Metro Vancouver programs that support women, children, and families through mentorship, child care, employment, and housing.
Nothing’s changing about your stay — just our name. You’ll still find the same friendly team, convenient location, welcoming atmosphere, and community purpose you know and love.
For now, you can still find us under YWCA Hotel on booking platforms and social media. Starting in January, we’ll officially become Hotel Willo.
