Volunteer

Our volunteers are an integral part of the YWCA Health + Fitness Centre. 

If you are passionate about fitness you can make a difference in your community by volunteering with us. 

Ways to volunteer 
  • Group Fitness Instructor in AquaFit, Cycle, Yoga and/or Zumba

  • Group Fitness Instructor in Tai Chi and/or Chi Gong

Volunteer perks 
  • Complimentary membership with towel service 

  • Annual CPR & First Aid re-certification training 

  • KickStart Conference and additional training events each year for BCRPA renewal credits 

 

Prerequisites 
  • BCRPA (or equivalent) registered fitness leader for instructor teaching team

  • Current CPR-A/AED for instructors and fitness floor volunteers

  • Valid Criminal Record Check for instructors and fitness floor volunteers

Commitment is 1-hour a week for a minimum 4-month seasonal term. We accept resumes and applications year-round. For more information contact Sandy at sreimer@ywcavan.org
