Support our work

We're working to build more homes quickly, operate the buildings we have
and maintain affordable housing for years to come.

Our work goes beyond providing affordable housing. Many families access YWCA supports such as legal advocacy, employment and training, education pathways and bursaries, support groups and violence prevention programs. This holistic approach is what helps make YWCA communities transformative for women-led families.

Support our work to help women and families thrive

Your donation plays a vital role in our efforts to provide safe and stable housing for women and their dependent children. By supporting our programs, you help us build more affordable housing and second-stage transition housing, offer holistic support services, and engage in advocacy work, ensuring that those escaping abuse have the resources they need to rebuild their lives and thrive.

How are we addressing the housing crisis?

  • We provide holistic supports and community-building opportunities for residents, including legal supports, violence prevention and connections to other YWCA programs.

  • We partner with government, business and community leaders to build more housing for women and families.

  • We advocate for public investment in affordable rental housing for women and single mother-led families, and women leaving abuse.

  • We advocate for progressive social policy, including increases to social assistance rates and universal early learning and child care.
