YWCA Metro Vancouver Board Nominations

The call for nominations for the YWCA Metro Vancouver Board of Directors is now closed. 

The Governance and Nominating Committee will present a slate of nominees for election to the Board at the Annual General Meeting in June.

Directors must be elected from the Slate of Nominees and nominations will not be accepted from the floor. Members are elected to the Board of Directors for a two-year term up to a maximum of three terms.

The YWCA Board is committed to reflecting the diversity of our community. In the 2023 recruitment round, the Board is looking to fill one director position. Preference will be given to individuals from the following groups, as per our commitment to diversity and belonging:

•    Indigenous peoples (First Nations – includes Status, Treaty or Non-Status, Métis and Inuit)
•    Racialized individuals (includes people who are non-white regardless of place of birth) 
•    2SLGBTQIA+ individuals
