As the Marketing Communications Specialist with YWCA Metro Vancouver, you will play a key role in developing, executing and optimizing integrated marketing campaigns and projects that advance organizational goals. Working closely with colleagues across departments, you will help strengthen awareness of YWCA programs and services, support participant recruitment and fundraising initiatives and craft compelling content that inspire action, showcase impact and connect audiences to our mission.
What you’ll be doing:

Develop, execute and evaluate multi-channel marketing strategies that build awareness, recruit participants, share powerful stories and promote YWCA programs and resources.

Plan, manage and analyze digital advertising and social media campaigns; monitor metrics, set key performance indicators and use insights to refine strategies and improve ROI.

Design and produce marketing materials (e.g. digital or traditional ads, web content, collateral, email campaigns, etc.) in alignment with YWCA brand standards and messaging.

Create, curate and publish engaging content (photos, videos and copy) across traditional and digital platforms; develop campaign-specific landing pages that convert audiences to action.

Support visual storytelling, including concept development, photoshoot planning, content creation and video editing.

Collaborate with internal teams to maintain an integrated content calendar and ensure consistent, high-quality storytelling across all marketing channels.

Contribute to awareness and fundraising campaigns through audience segmentation, strategic planning, content development and execution.

Act as a brand ambassador, ensuring consistent visual and narrative identity across all touchpoints and helping to strengthen organizational visibility in the community.

What you’ll need:

Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, Communications or a related discipline.

Minimum two years of progressive marketing experience, including campaign planning, digital advertising, graphic design, social media, content marketing and analytics.

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro).

Proficiency in digital marketing tools such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Ads, Meta Business Suite, Mailchimp and Canva.

Experience with content management systems (Drupal experience is an asset).

Knowledge of SEO/SEM principles, including keyword research and optimization.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple campaigns and deadlines, while collaborating across teams.

Understanding of gender equity and inclusion issues, with the ability to communicate these topics clearly and sensitively.

A strong commitment to IDEA (inclusion, diversity, equity and accessibility)

A valid clear criminal record check (including working with vulnerable populations) is required.
Bonus qualities (but not required)

Experience in the non-profit or social services sector.

Experience with video production or editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, VEED or equivalent)

Understanding of trauma-informed approaches
