What you’ll be doing:

Develop and publish engaging organic content on social media (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube) to promote our WorkBC Centres, YWCA Employment programs, and owned events, and respond to comments, including from Google Maps pages.

Create, monitor, and optimize paid social media campaigns (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube) to promote our WorkBC Centres, YWCA Employment programs, and owned events.

Generate and manage leads from digital ads, distribute them to respective WorkBC Centres, and track conversion rates to measure campaign effectiveness.
-
Design and produce ads for transit platforms and print publications to increase program visibility and reach.
-
Produce, order, and distribute marketing materials.
-
Manage the planning and promotion of owned employment events, including job fairs, workshops and employer info sessions.
-
Manage Eventbrite pages to promote owned events, generate registrations, and collect information for email marketing campaigns, surveys and reports.
-
Provide support for both owned events and community events, collecting and ordering material, assisting with set up/take down when necessary, and tracking registration and attendance.
-
Coordinate community event logistics, including registration and staff recruitment.
-
Create monthly newsletters and manage the email list.

Produce podcast episodes, suggesting topics, planning episodes, inviting guests, coordinating recording and managing promotion.

Lead the video production (planning, writing script, shooting and editing) of institutional videos, Success Stories and other videos for our YouTube channel.

Oversee and coordinate photoshoots to produce images for marketing materials.

Develop, update and audit website content and improve SEO (Search Engine Optimization) to increase traffic and conversion.

Produce marketing reports.
-
Create surveys and feedback forms, distribute and compile responses, and analyze data for marketing reports and program evaluations.

Identify media opportunities and conduct media training and media relations to generate editorial coverage.
-
Support YWCA program managers with their marketing needs.
-
Undertake additional tasks to support the marketing department as required.

What you’ll need:
-
Candidates must have marketing and communications experience, including Content Marketing, Digital Ads, Advertising, Video Production, Events Management, and PR.
-
Looking for a creative candidate that can work in a flexible, fast-paced environment, working with multiple locations, various marketing needs, and numerous stakeholders.
-
Must have excellent time management and organizational skills, and multitasking ability, including adapting and shifting priorities as needed.
-
Excellent oral and written English communications skills, including writing and editing.
-
A proven ability to work collaboratively, as well as independently as required.
-
Must have strong copywriting and graphic design skills to create advertisements and marketing materials in-house.
-
Savvy in Social Media marketing and ability to use social media channels to promote employment programs and events.
-
Proficient with related software such as Canva, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
-
Familiar with Google Drive, Microsoft SharePoint, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
-
Previous experience working with an open-source content management system, MailChimp and basic HTML knowledge.
-
Experience with event coordination is an asset.
-
A valid clear criminal record check (including working with vulnerable populations) is required.
