Job Description

The Presents of Peace (POP) Coordinator will oversee and coordinate the 2024 POP program, which matches YWCA program families with Christmas Hamper donors.  The coordinator will work with program leads at YWCA Crabtree to facilitate the matching of families, developing timelines, identifying action items and troubleshooting challenges.  The POP Coordinator will report both to their Manager at Crabtree and the Fund Development Manager overseeing the POP Program. 

What you’ll be doing: 

  • Communicate with program staff and families about the POP program. 

  • Input information to facilitate matching families with donors. 

  • Manage the database, through data input and report generation 

  • Ensuring thank you letters and personalized responses to donor hampers are facilitated 

  • Updating POP information as needed for this year’s program. 

  • Communicate with Crabtree Supervisor as needed to see if targets for numbers of families registered are being met.  

  • Organize the donations that are coming in support other families in need.   

  • Other duties as required  

What you’ll need: 

  • Comfortable with computers and open to learning new databases 

  • Good time management skills and the ability to juggle numerous tasks 

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with others 

  • Basic understanding of databases 

  • Familiarity with the Downtown Eastside Community and its resources is an asset 

  • A valid clear criminal record check (including working with vulnerable populations) is required.  

  • The YWCA Metro Vancouver’s COVID-19 vaccination policy is currently suspended and as a result, vaccination from COVID-19 is not required at this time. However, should circumstances change and the YWCA deem it necessary to reintroduce such policy, you may be required to provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19 in order to be eligible to continue performing your duties.
