The Property Manager, Facilities Supervision, will help us stay ahead of maintenance needs, uphold building standards, and proactively address issues across our portfolio. This role is essential for maintaining the condition and longevity of our properties, ensuring compliance, and meeting the evolving requirements of both the YWCA, our tenants and our residents.
What you’ll be doing:

Coordinate, provide building access and supervise external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance work, renovations

Provide oversight to the day-to-day maintenance operations with the asset clerks and maintenance staff, ensuring staff maintain standards and follow established procedures for the efficient and cost-effective fulfillment of work orders

Conduct monthly inspections of the YWCA buildings to ensure safety, cleanliness, and proper functioning of systems.

Assist the Facilities Manager in budget tracking for maintenance expenses and provide input on capital planning needs

Lead or support regular fire drills, building emergency preparedness, and safety audits.

Support procurement of maintenance services and supplies in coordination with the Facilities Manager.

Track progress on maintenance tasks / work orders and intervene as needed to resolve delays or operational issues

Evaluate staff performance and provide feedback to ensure continuous improvement and accountability

Support communication and coordination among team members to foster a collaborative and productive work environment

Provide coverage for supervised positions (e.g., asset clerks and maintenance staff) during absences, ensuring continuity of operations.

Backup on-call for Emergencies

What you’ll need:
-
Supervisory experience overseeing maintenance teams and/or contractors
-
Knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety
-
Minimum 1–2 years of supervisory, experience, building maintenance, or a related field
-
The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask and determine work plans for staff
-
Well organized, team player with strong communication skills
-
Experience and comfort using Excel, Outlook, One Drive, Sharepoint, and Arcori would be an asset
-
Strong interpersonal and communication skills required. Conflict resolution skills would be an asset
-
A valid clear criminal record check (including working with vulnerable populations) is required.

Pay Rate: $35.02 per hour
