Providing a meal through YWCA Crabtree Corner Community kitchen is an amazing way to really see the impact of your time and generosity for our clients living in the downtown east side. Under the supervision of our YWCA kitchen staff, your team will prepare a healthy, fulfilling breakfast served in-person to approximately 60-75 members of our community who come to us daily for food and support.
Corporate groups will be given direction for the ordering and purchasing of ingredients for the meals through a local grocery store. All of the guidelines along with suggested menus and ordering amounts will be provided once we have confirmed a date. With the rising costs of food, we look for your support of about $500 for the groceries. Should you so choose, other needed items can also be ordered and distributed, such as additional to-go snacks, toiletries, diapers or socks, which are very appreciated by those who come to us for meals
We can also arrange a tour of Crabtree Corner Community while you are there, so you and your team can learn all about the impactful work happening through the YWCA programs and services.
Please contact Zoe Stronge at volunteer@ywcavan.org for more information or to request a date.
