YWCA Slocan

YWCA Metro Vancouver, Chard Development, BC Housing and the City of Vancouver are excited to launch a new capital campaign to offer deeply affordable and below-market YWCA housing community at 388 Slocan Street, with 70 new homes to help individuals and families thrive.

The YWCA expects to provide seven of these units at deeply subsidized rents and offer these to single women and single mothers and their children. The homes are centred around an inner courtyard and the building also includes an amenity space, a roof terrace and two commercial units on the ground floor, which will help subsidize the deeply affordable housing and fund the operations of the housing community.  

The building is almost at construction completion, and we will begin taking inquiries and applications in May 2024.

CAPITAL CAMPAIGN

The cost of this beautiful new building is $56.83M and we are actively seeking donors to raise the remaining $2.05M. We have embarked on a capital campaign and are looking for a community of donors and a Lead Donor to name the building within the next two months. Join us in making this happen.
