International Women's Day Events

On the heels of the Women's March, the troubles to the south and the rise of populism, it's becoming rapidly clear that women's work matters more than ever. March 8th is International Women's Day, Vancouver is host to many events that celebrate women past, present and future. Check out the links below:

Vancouver Rape Relief and Women’s Shelter

Celebrate International Women’s Day by joining us for a special screening of SUFFRAGETTE at the Cinematheque. Movie plot: In early 20th-century Britain, the growing suffragette movement forever changes the life of working wife and mother. Galvanized by political activists, they join a diverse group of women who fight for equality and the right to vote.
