YWCA Connecting Families Tech Support
The Connecting Families Initiative (CFI) is a Government of Canada program that offers digital services to eligible Canadians.
Am I eligible?
Check out information on the Government of Canada - Eligibility for the Connecting Families Initiative (CFI).
What high speed internet plan you are offering?
Eligible Canadian’s can apply for $10/$20 per month plan. For more information, visit https://ised-isde.canada.ca/site/connecting-families/en/low-cost-plans
What do I need to sign up for the CFI plan
- Received the CFI letter from the government of Canada
- Registered on www.cf-fb.ca
- Have an optic fiber connection from the ISP to your house
If my ISP is not on the list of providers when I register my code, but they are in the list of participating providers on the website can they still sign me up for the initiative?
If the Internet Service Provider (ISP) is not on the list is most probable that they don’t have the service for the Connecting Families Initiative in the area, and if they do, it could be that they are serving the internet through a wireless antenna and there are no fiber optic cables in the area.
