Crabtree Corner programs focus on supporting women who parent alone and grandparents raising children so they feel more supported, connected and informed about opportunities, programs and services that benefit their families. 

Programs and supports
My Tween and Me 

My Tween and Me assists caregivers raising children aged seven to 12. The program helps parents develop confidence to positively influence and support their children during the transition to adolescence, and promotes the development of self-esteem, self-awareness, positive decision-making and relationship skills in young people.

Nobody's Perfect Parenting Program 

Nobody's Perfect is an education and support program for caregivers of children aged six and under. In six weekly group sessions, participants work together to learn positive parenting skills and share tools. Child-minding, dinner and bus tickets are provided.

Cycles run twice a year, once in the spring, once in the fall.

Single Mothers' Support Group 

In a safe and comfortable environment, mothers who are parenting alone meet weekly to exchange information and resources, support each other and build networks. Mothers find companionship, community and help shape each other's happiness and success. Child-minding is provided.

Every Wednesday, 10:00am – 12:00pm.

Community Action Program for Children (CAPC) Parenting Group 

A group for mothers eager to support their children and themselves in healthy, sustainable ways. Mothers find resources, build connections and access services. It also provides referrals, one-to-one and group support. For families with at least one child aged six years and under. The group runs throughout the year in six-week cycles that focus on different themes. Lunch is included.

Groups run once every two weeks on Thursdays – currently meeting virtually.

CAPC Support Worker

One-to-one support for families with at least one child aged six and under. Supports include helping mothers find resources and referrals, build connections and access services.

My New Home for Latin Moms 

This group is led in Spanish for Latin immigrant mothers, offering monthly sessions on parenting, settlement, cultural adaptation, services available and self-care. The group hosts volunteer facilitators from community partners, provides a healing space and reduces barriers while creating community connections.

Every two weeks on Wednesdays at 11:00am. Sessions are currently being held online.

Food, Facts and Fun 

An interactive program that shares healthy eating habits while increasing food security for mothers and their families. Participants explore their connection to nutrition and community-building through food. After each session, participants receive a food hamper with ingredients for the meal served that day.

FASD Support Group / Sacred Circle

This 10-week support group provides information, referrals and support services to pregnant women, mothers and their families who are impacted by Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD).

Two cycles a year. Sessions run every Thursday during cycles.
