Volunteer Description

The YWCA Indigenous Mentorship Program is seeking applications for mentors to participate in 2024's Indigenous Mentor Circle.

This program is open to self-identified Indigenous women, Two-Spirit, trans, non-binary and gender nonconforming people looking to connect with other folk of those identities within the Indigenous community. As a volunteer mentor, we invite you to share your personal medicine in our monthly peer mentorship circles with the help of skilled Indigenous facilitators. Mentors will also have the opportunity to mentor and connect in circle with self-identified Indigenous youth (mentees). There is further opportunity to deepen your cultural connections and explore identity, reciprocity, re-Indigenization and solidarity by being a part of our ongoing talking circles, workshops, crafts, games, and other activities.
