Keynote speaker Maria Vassilakou, Former Deputy Mayor of Vienna, spoke about how Vienna became an equitable and liveable city, followed by a diverse panel of local community leaders who imagined what our cities could be if equity, inclusion and justice were at the heart of decision-making.

CENTERING EQUITY ALL-CANDIDATES FORUM
Hosted by Women Transforming Cities, YWCA Metro Vancouver, SFU Department of Gender, Sexuality and Women’s Studies, and SFU Public Square, Vancouver City Council candidates were asked about their priorities and platforms, and how they will work together to make Vancouver a city where everyone belongs.

Artist and facilitator Luna Aixin (GaGiNang Productions) led a group of 20 participants in an inquisitive, heartful, and imaginative in-person zine-making workshop to discuss and imagine what our cities can be. The group’s creations was collated into a collective zine which can be found here.
