Indigenous Mentorship

Step into the YWCA Indigenous Mentorship program, where Indigenous women and girls, Two-Spirit, trans, and non-binary folks find connection to Indigenous community and culture with the help and support of skilled Indigenous facilitators. The program is a journey of cultural immersion and collective empowerment within Indigenous community.

  • Celebrate Indigenous culture in a nurturing environment.
  • Explore vital topics like wellness, gender equity, and decolonization.
  • Connect with one's Indigenous identity, ancestry and assertiveness.
  • Find power in existing authentically and learn to bring that power with you wherever you go.
  • Cultivate meaningful relationships with Indigenous peers and mentors, building a supportive community for all participants.

Build a community of strong, meaningful relationships with your peers and Indigenous role models (volunteer mentors, facilitators and school workers)
