Join our in-person artistic workshop facilitated by Luna Aixin. Registration will be limited to 20 participants. The workshop is built around active engagement between participants and will not be recorded or shared.
As part of YWCA’s “Reimagining Our Cities” series, artist and facilitator Luna Aixin (GaGiNang Productions) will lead a group of participants in an inquisitive, heartful, and imaginative in-person zine-making workshop. During the workshop, participants will engage with the City of New Westminster’s Poet Laureate Elliot Slinn’s poem (emerging from previous “Reimagining our Cities” events) as well as other inspirations while imagining bold and brave ideas on the future of cities on these unceded Indigenous lands. The group’s creations will be collated into a collective zine.
Participants will be given a $75 honorarium and we can provide transit subsidies if needed.
