Working together for a brighter future

In 2022 YWCA Metro Vancouver will celebrate 125 years of changing lives. We opened our doors in 1897 to provide housing and services to women in search of education and employment.

With each passing decade, we continued to support the underserved – mainly women and children – with innovative programs and advocacy to address the root causes of inequality. From single mothers and jobseekers, to families of every kind, the YWCA continues to provide vital programs and services to meet the changing needs of our communities.

In anticipation of our 125th Anniversary, we have launched The Next 125, a five-year campaign to raise $10 million so we can meet the growing needs of our region.

Supporters have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on any or all three areas driving our work:

  1. Helping Women and Families Flourish
  2. Creating Safe, Inclusive Communities
  3. Building Brighter Futures, For Everyone
